    The Oliver Anderson House was built during the 1840’s and 50’s. At first the home was used as a hospital during the Battle of Lexington which lasted three years. The home then was donated in 1958 to the state park which are now overseen by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources as a Historic site from the Battle of Lexington.
