St. Louis – Westport Plaza is proud to announce the 22nd Annual Missouri Winefest in the Pavilion on Saturday and Sunday, February 9 and 10, 2008 from Noon – 5:00 p.m.

The Missouri wineries who will be participating will be announced the first of the year. Each winery will offer four of the best in Missouri wines for sampling and purchasing.

This year the Missouri Winefest is sponsored by Golub & Company LLC, Missouri Mercantile and MissouriWineCountry.com. The entrance fee and ticket to taste for the day is $20.00, the purchase directly benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Wine sampled at the event will also be sold by the bottle in the Pavilion. Patrons will be able to enjoy live musical entertainment both Saturday and Sunday.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission is to cure leukemia and its related cancers – lymphoma, multiple myeloma and Hodgkin’s disease and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Leukemia and its related diseases now affect more than 600,000 people in the United States.

Nearly 60,000 of these people will die this year. Every nine minutes, another child or adult dies from one of the afflictions.

Westport Plaza is an entertainment and office center located at I-270 and Page Avenue in West St. Louis County. The 42 acre site offers international restaurants, specialty shops, a comedy club, blues and jazz club, and two first class hotels.
