The Taster’s Guild Wine Competition has been identified over the years as one of the top ten wine competitions in the United States, and “America’s Midwest Winery”, St. James Winery is honored to be again, the most awarded winery of the entire competition.
This makes the second time in just a little over 30 days St. James Winery has been the leader in awards in an international competition.
Last month, they had the privilege of being the most awarded winery at the New World International Wine Competition winning over 20 medals and attending the awards ceremony in Ontario, CA.
St. James Winery was one of only three wineries in the country awarded 3 Double Gold Medals for their entries. St. James received 30 medals total from the competition to include 5 Gold Medals, 15 Silver Medals, 7 Bronze, plus the 3 Double Golds.
The second most awarded winery was a Canadian winery which was a distant follower winning only 21 total awards.
St. James Winery Double Gold winners were 2006 Vintner’s Select Vignoles, 2005 Vintner’s Select Seyval, and 2003 Reserve Norton.
Gold Medal winners were Velvet Red and Velvet White, 2003 Norton, Velvet Red Port, and Blackberry.
