Profile
Eagle’s Landing is located within Just A Taste, a wine cellar and restaurant in downtown St. James. Eagles’ Landing focuses on bringing the past and present together by combining science and art. Owners and winemakers Eric Taylor and Casey Stuck, strive to develop well-balanced wines and meads (honey-wine). The winery’s name draws from the ripe heritage of the region. Eric’s great-grandfather, Ricardo Mario Cardetti, was an early Italian immigrant who cultivated the vines in nearby Knobview (now named Rosati). In the 1930s, R.M. Cardetti and Sons opened their own winery, but were forced to close at the start of World War II. Today, Eric makes one of his wines from the same vineyard planted by his grandfather, Peno.
